    ETMarkets' latest mutual fund (MF) analysis examines stocks held exclusively by a single scheme. Initially, there were 144 such stocks in May 2024. However, by narrowing the selection to those with a market value over Rs 20 crore as of May '24, the number dropped to 32. ETMarkets highlighted six stocks that are held solely by one MF scheme and have increased by 15-60% in just over a month (from the beginning of May 2024 to now).(Data Source: ACE MF, ACE Equity).

    While stepping down, very few independent directors speak up

    Till date this year, out of 180 independent directors who resigned from corporate boards citing "personal reasons", only four have mentioned issues such as corporate governance or lack of transparency for doing so. In recent weeks, though, Nisaba Godrej stepped down as independent director on the board of VIP Industries citing accountability issues while Marc Desaedeleer resigned from Suzlon board citing "transparency" issues.

    Midcaps, smallcaps, microcaps plunge up to 20%. BHEL, HUDCO among top losers

    Market fall on Tuesday impacted Nifty Midcap 100, Nifty Smallcap 100, and Nifty Microcap 250 indices. Midcap index fell by 7% to 49,623.10, Smallcap index dropped by 7% to 15,801.80, and Microcap saw 247 stocks in red.

    PTC Industries, a key player in the aerospace and defence sectors, soared 11% after Antique Broking initiated coverage with a 'buy' rating and a target price of Rs 13,010. With robust manufacturing technologies and a strong order book, the company is poised for exponential revenue and profit growth, backed by titanium and super alloy manufacturing.
