RVNL, a PSU under the Ministry of Railways, reported a 33.16 per cent profit increase in Q4FY24, with revenues rising by 17.38 per cent. Its stock price surged by 5.77 per cent on June 21, 2024.

The ECR's circular stated that the T/A 912 would not be issued until further advice, and instead, the provision of G&SR 9.02 will be used for double line.

      In response to an RTI application, the Indian Railways Ministry revealed that it laid an average of 7.41 km of tracks annually over the past ten years, covering new line construction, doubling, tripling, and gauge conversion. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently stated that the Railways is currently adding about 15 km of new tracks daily. In 2022-23, the Railways laid a record-breaking 3,901 km of tracks, with significant progress attributed to increased budgetary allocation and streamlined processes.
