Currently, 9,000 workers are on site, completing the ATC tower and finalizing the runway. The first phase costs Rs 10,056 crore.

Stock picks of the week: 5 stocks with consistent score improvement and upside potential of up to 43%

While the indices might be witnessing correction on intra intra-basis, the broader markets are still very much under the control of the bulls. There is greater likelihood of bullish sentiment continuing, so be bullish but more than anything else in the long term what matters for a stock is earnings and valuation. So be selective, avoid impulsive investing, and keep reviewing one’s portfolio and stay away from penny stocks especially. It is very likely that some of the penny stocks will fly and be distributed amongst retail investors. We look at stocks which have witnessed a continuous rise in their score in the last one month. These selected stocks depict a strong upward trajectory in their overall average score which is based on five key pillars i.e. earnings, fundamentals, relative valuation, risk and price momentum. This implies that there has been a significant improvement in their market outlook in the given time frame.

Fundamental tailwinds are a stronger play than volatile markets? 5 Indian pharma stocks with upside potential of up to 31 %

There is no doubt that the market is going through a volatile phase and bears are once again telling the street to never write them off. Will this correction continue even longer ? It would probably be clear by the end of the day as the election result finally gets settled. Instead of focusing on how much nifty or bank nifty or any other index is down or up, focus on the fact that whether the sector or company is doing well and will it do well in future because the fundamental operating matrix of that sector has changed for better. Because volatile phases come and go, changes in the operating matrix don't happen every day. Pharmaceutical is one sector where there is a fundamental change taking place and it has happened after 8 to 10 years of restructuring and painful readjustment. So, it would be worthwhile to have them on watchlist and if the market remains volatile then it is a sector which probably has a higher probability of outperforming.

Political noise is temporary in the end it's about GDP growth; 6 logistics companies with upside potential of up to 39%

It will take some more time for the street to get out of the political noise and analysis and stocks may witness some more correction. But these are all short term issues, in the end markets are keen about two things, overall economic growth and earnings of the company. In the recent political noise what has been probably getting missed is the fact that GDP numbers were better than expected. It is very likely that we are going to see continued growth in the GDP numbers, yes, there would be voices which would say that focus consumption would increase and all other things, but in the end the biggest beneficiary of the continued higher growth is the logistics sector. The reason is simple, if the economy is doing well, more goods will be produced and they will have to be transported and that is why in large developed economies, logistic companies form part of a very important transportation index. Also another big factor, these companies have gone through a restructuring and have come out after facing many challenges.

    • Be a contrarian in such times, if they have strong parent: 5 midcap stocks belonging to large industrial houses with upside potential of up to 49%

At a time when the market is digesting an election result which it did not expect. Questions are bound to come to about what should be done with mid-cap stocks. Is there a possibility that we might see more corrections ? The answer is yes. More than anything else, the reason for the correction would be the valuations and the fact that there was and still froth in some segments of the market. Should you buy mid-caps, the answer is yes. The question is what are you buying and for what time frame. And the bigger question is does the management have a proven track record that if tough times comes then it can steer the company through a tough time. If these tick marks are done, then ignore the political noise which all the political analysts are going to bring on table and surely there is no dearth of them. Focus on what is the business and who is running that business.

Stock picks of the week: 5 stocks with consistent score improvement and upside potential of up to 41%

The street has got what it was looking for, exit polls predicting a win of NDA which essentially continues the policy making framework which has been in place for the last ten years and has been working well for the economy. There is another thing which will happen, there are going to be some areas which will get more focus in the coming days. So, next we might see some sectors and stocks doing extremely well, while others may continue to be laggards. These selected stocks depict a strong upward trajectory in their overall average score which is based on five key pillars i.e. earnings, fundamentals, relative valuation, risk and price momentum. This implies that there has been a significant improvement in their market outlook in the given time frame.

Not so well known stakeholders of EV ecosystem: 8 stocks that don't come instinctively, 3 with an upside potential of more than 18%

Not with standing weekly loss, downside in gold likely to remain limited

Going by the action in bonds, the markets are still not giving much credence to the idea of a rate hike. The next week is quite crucial for the financial markets as many major data and reports will be released.

They just happen to be listed in India, what matters to them is global developments: 5 stocks from two sectors with upside scope of up to 29%

In the last month of volatility, there are some sectors which have shown a streak of out performance. They haven't fallen as much as nifty and have been able to keep their head above the water even on the worst of days. The reason, their bottom lines are more correlated to what is happening in the country or the continent in which they have exposure both in terms of sales and in some cases in manufacturing. So, one way to take global exposure is to have a look at these companies, also it is a sort of diversification in terms of exposure to the underlying economy. Because they are operating at a global level, their balance sheets are good and in some cases, they have been able to enter amongst the top companies of the world in their sector.

Stock picks of the week: 5 stocks with consistent score improvement and upside potential of up to 39%

Just before the start of the final phase of the general elections 2024 was to take place, there was a clear indication that it is bulls who are in control of the market. There are no two opinions, that a continuity in policy making will make the markets move upward very sharply. A glimpse of that will come in Monday’s trading session, when the impact of the exit poll result gets played out. So, with the base case assumption that the policy making will continue, we take things forward but continue with our principle stand that If one is taking fresh exposure to equity, ensure that there is some level of quality as far as the business and fundamentals are concerned. These selected stocks depict a strong upward trajectory in their overall average score which is based on five key pillars i.e. earnings, fundamentals, relative valuation, risk and price momentum. This implies that there has been a significant improvement in their market outlook in the given time frame.

Will finally all the hard work yield results in Modi 3.0? 7 fertilizer stocks with 4 having ‘buy’ reco and upside upside potential of up to 22%

Few months back when it was announced that the fertilizer subsidy bill was seen as lower than expected, the street reacted negatively. The assumption is that if the fertilizer subsidy is going to come down then it is bad for the sector. Now there is another way to look at it, a government which has been ensuring that agriculture gets the right amount of attention and doing the various policy pushes, then why is the overall projected subsidy bill down? Probably, it may be because the government is expecting that policy actions which it has taken over the years will yield results and some of the other non-financial efforts which it will take in the sector will help reduce the bill without having an adverse effect on any stakeholders. Now unlike other sectors like railways where putting more money or making few policy changes has helped the sector, fertilizer is a more complex sector and is bound to take more time for getting the house in order. But then who says that transition for good is painless.

Stocks with tailwinds called advantage India: 5 largecap stocks from 3 different sectors with an upside potential of upto 36 %

In terms of valuations and sentiment we are not far from the place where we were in the last quarter of 2023 or early part of this year. When it was not possible to find stocks which can be called as “fairly valued” forget “undervalued”, and the sentiment was very bullish. The only difference between then and now is that we have election results which are coming up. Surely a confirmation on 4th June that continuity in the policy making is a big factor. But there is another thing which long term investors need to look at before investing. Whether the company or the sector has an advantage due to India as a country. A well known example, which has been present for decades is that of the IT industry. India as a country is a factory of software engineers, and that is our strength. So when investing for the long term, look at sectors where we have some strong tailwinds due to our human capital.

Finally coming out of the woods? 6 mid and smallcap stocks from the much less talked paper industry

Remember a company called Ballarpur industry ltd or commonly known as ( BILT) from Thapar group. From being a blue chip and part of indices going through a corporate insolvency resolution process under IBC. There are some industries which at one point of time were considered to be safe haven. Best of the industrial houses used to run them and the street used to treat their stocks as blue chips. Then came a time, both due to dumping by China and other factors, that the whole sector went into dumps and just never recovered for decades; both in real business and also on the street. Now when an industry stays in deep trouble for a long time, there are some players who are able to survive. How do they do it? either by changing the way they operate in terms of management ability, by adding new products or any others. The paper industry has been facing multiple challenges, now after years of consolidation in which many players exited, there are few left and have achieved a scale. Numbers are reflecting it, when will the street start to have a look at then more kindly is the question.

Ready for re-rating in Modi 3.0? 7 fertilizer stocks with four having “buy” reco and upside potential of up to 47%

Sometimes, what might appear to be negative development might actually be a sign that the worst is behind the sector. Fertilizer as a sector, both in the business and valuation side has been under performer. The fact is that in the last nine, the government has been making changes in policies which brings this sector out of the clutches of high government subsidy and other age old issues plaguing the sector. Now unlike other sectors like railways where putting more money or making few policy changes has helped the sector, fertilizer is a more complex sector and is bound to take more time for getting the house in order. A balance has to be maintained so that while the operating matrix of the industry improves but at the same time, neither the supply should get disrupted, nor the prices of fertilizer should see a jump to the farmer. What needs to be watched is when companies show the impact of all that has been going on in the sector, sooner or a bit later. To be fair, everything has not been a smooth ride for these companies. But then who says that transition for good is painless.

Advantage called strong parent: 5 midcap stocks from large industrial houses with upside potential of up to 49%

It is well known that investing in mid-cap comes with its own risks, right from business to risk to market risks. So, as a basic principle one should be more cautious while investing in mid-caps. But the fact is however one might try the fact is that when the narrative is bullish we all tend to lower our guards and end up buying stocks which one should have not bought. So, what about using parameters which probably is not full proof, but history has shown that over a long period of time, it has worked well. That is staying with mid-cap companies from strong industrial groups, which have other companies which are running well. The reason for this strategy is simple, when that midcap company of a large group will see a tough time, at a group level there is management bandwidth in terms of both financial and human resources to help it over bad times. Also the fact that a large group with a track record of creating business will make sure that in the long term these businesses are able to grow. So, we look at 5 mid-cap stocks belonging to strong industrial groups.

Better to look them as a chain: 15 stocks from different part of automobile ecosystem, 7 with buy reco and upside potential of up to 32%

If one takes June - July 2020 as the base from where this bull run started. Amongst the first to gain were stocks like Ashok leyland, Tata motors, Eicher motors. There was good enough reason for it, all these companies get a significant part of their sales from either heavy commercial vehicles or light commercial vehicles. Sales of LCV and certain other auto segments is an indication of the economic situation on the ground. Demand for large commercial vehicles would only increase when there is higher economic growth as more goods get moved from one place to another when the economy is doing well. So it is LCV and HCV which are the lead indicators of what is in store for the economy. But behind the finished automobile product there is a huge supply chain, right from an auto ancillary unit making forgings, to a tyre maker. Rather than look at one segment it would be worthwhile to look at select stocks which form the part of the chain. The reason, when LCV will indicate good numbers, then means subsequently there would be better car and two wheeler numbers.
