Mamata Banerjee announces slew of new policies, sub-sea cable landing station, industrial corridors

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced several new policies at the Bengal Global Business Summit, including plans to double exports, modernize logistics, and promote renewable energy manufacturing. The state's economy is growing at 8.41% and is expected to reach USD 212 billion this fiscal. Banerjee also announced a policy to promote bio-fuels and a new sub-sea cable landing station at Digha sea-resort to improve internet connectivity.
