      The Indian Navy is set to conduct trials in Spain for critical equipment under Project 75 India, aiming to acquire six advanced submarines with Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) systems. Spanish shipyard Navantia's Chairman, Ricardo Dominguez Garcia-Baquero, highlighted Spain's commitment to the project, including swift export clearance and technological transfer. Navantia, partnered with L&T, offers the S80 submarine design, meeting most P75(I) requirements without redesign. The trials will showcase Navantia's AIP technology, essential for India's strategic self-reliance in submarine capabilities.

      DigiYatra passengers using the self-bag drop at Bengaluru airport can select the 'scan your face biometric for baggage drop' option. They will then be prompted to choose the 'DigiYatra' icon to proceed. The machine will instruct the passenger to look directly into the camera to capture their biometric image. It will then generate the passenger's flight details and prompt them to declare any dangerous goods they might be carrying.

      IAF takes delivery of second C295 transport aircraft

      The Indian Air Force (IAF) received the second of 56 Airbus C295 aircraft to replace its ageing Avro-748 fleet. The aircraft, part of a Rs 21,935 crore acquisition deal formalized in September 2021, will be produced in Spain and Gujarat's Vadodara under India's 'Make in India' Aerospace program. The first India-made C295 is expected to roll out in September 2026. The C295MW aircraft features modern technology and will replace the Avro aircraft, offering capabilities for quick reaction and paradropping of troops and cargo.
