Delhi Metro launches first-ever indigenously developed train control & supervision system
The i-ATS system was formally launched on the Red Line from the Operations Control Centre (OCC) in Shastri Park by Manoj Joshi, the Secretary of Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, who is also Chairman of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC and Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, Chairman & Managing Director, BEL, were also present during the inauguration.
Alstom bags order worth Rs 798 crore to manufacture 78 coaches for Chennai Metro
French rolling stock manufacturer Alstom has won a contract worth Rs 798 crore to design, manufacture and commission 78 advanced metro coaches from Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), the company announced on Friday. Previously, Alstom has manufactured and delivered 208 metro cars for the 54 km of the first phase and extension of Corridor-I from the Airport to Wimco Nagar and Corridor-II from Chennai Central to St Thomas Mount.
