    Kamal Haasan admitted to hospital in Chennai due to fever: Report

    Popular Tamil actor Kamal Haasan has been reportedly hospitalised in Chennai after he complained of fever. On Wednesday, it was reported that the actor developed a fever after which he was rushed to a private hospital in Chennai.

    The news outlet, India Today, reported that the actor was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) in Chennai on Wednesday. According to the report, doctors have advised the actor to take rest for the next couple of days. The 68-year-old is expected to be discharged later today.

    Earlier this week, pictures of the actor visiting his mentor film-maker K Vishwanath were making waves on the Internet. Haasan met the veteran filmmaker at his home in Hyderabad. He had shared the pictures of his meeting on his Instagram account. "Met the master K Viswanath sir at his home. Lots of nostalgia and respect!" Haasan captioned an image where he is seen bowing down before the director.

    Earlier this year, Kamal Haasan made his comeback to the silver screen with film-maker Lokesh Kanagaraj's action thriller 'Vikram'. Haasan was seen alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. The film which is hailed as the second film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) was made on a budget of Rs 150 crore and went on to earn Rs 500 crore at the box-office. The film was released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It emerged as the second highest-grossing Tamil film of the year.

    The actor, who is currently shooting for Big Boss Tamil Season 6, will next be seen in the sequel of 1996 hit 'Indian'. The actor will be reuniting with Shankar after nearly three decades. The film starring Haasan, Urmila Matondkar, Manisha Koirala and Sukanya was one of the biggest hits of the year. The sequel will see Haasan returning as Senapathy. The film will also star Kajal Agarwal and Rakul Preet Singh.
