Vignan university to conduct admission entrance (V-SAT) from March 1 to April 30
AMARAVATI: Vignan deemed to be university vice-chancellor, Dr. P. Nagabhushan has said that entrance examination for admission into the university, V-SAT will be conducted for nearly 60 days from March, 1 to April, 30. The test will be conducted online in about 36 centres across India. Vice-chancellor said that February, 25 is the last date for filing application to appear the entrance examination.
Vice-chancellor released the admission notification for the academic year 2023-24 for admission into B.Tech, B. Pharmacy and B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture and all other UG, PG and Ph.D programmes. Speaking to the media, Dr Nagabhushan said that scores in “Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test (V- SAT)” will be the basis for admission into all the streams.
He emphasized that in Vignan’s focus on updation of the syllabus for every two years ensures that the students are always well versed on industry relevant areas. He said that university also keep its focus on integrating every topic of syllabus to laboratory and skill based learning to make student learning effectively.
“This helps the student to gain a complete understanding rather than simply memorizing and remembering the subject,” said Dr Nagabhushan. He said that innovative stream oriented courses such as Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IOT), Scripting Languages, Artificial Intelligence, Rapid Prototyping, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology – Immunology, Immunoinformatics are carefully designed and implemented in the curriculum of appropriate programmes.
In addition to the regular classwork, employability skills enhancement program is imbibed into the curriculum in the 3 & 4 years of B. Tech. Registrar, Dr. M.S. Raghunathan, Dr. P. M. V. Rao, Dean –AAA (Academics, Assessment and Awards), Dr. K.V. Krishna Kishore, Dean Admissions, Assistant Registrar A. Gouri Sankar Rao were also present.
