BENGALURU: The father of a kindergarten child has alleged that he was assaulted by the mother of his son’s classmate and her two associates in Vidyaranyapura. He had taken exception to the woman’s child bullying his son.
In his complaint to police, the father said his son and the other boy, both five years old, are UKG students of a private school in east Jalahalli.
The complainant said his son was being beaten up by the other boy for nearly five months in the school. The same was brought to the notice of the class teacher, but nothing had been done. The boy allegedly continued to hit the complainant’s son.
On December 9 afternoon, the complainant met the boy and his mother outside the school and advised the child to stop beating up his son. However, the woman yelled at the complainant and left the place. Things took a violent turn on the morning of December 12 when the complainant and his wife dropped their son at the school and were walking towards their vehicle.
“As we came near the parking lot, the mother of the boy with two men came near us. They began abusing me. One of the men began hitting me on my face. Then, using a wooden log, the man hit me on my left shoulder and I fell down. Then he kicked me in the stomach. By then, passersby rushed towards us and rescued me. The accused persons left the place after warning me. I was admitted to a private hospital for the injuries sustained,” the complainant said.
Police have issued a notice to the woman, directing her to appear for investigation. They said they would ascertain the identity of the two men after questioning the woman. The trio was booked under IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt,) 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and 506 (act with criminal intimidation).
