‘Goa jaiye’, say X users to Smriti after her Amethi loss

Following her defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, Union minister Smriti Irani has become the target of online mockery on the microblogging platform X. Irani, who contested the Amethi seat in UP, faced a resounding loss, prompting a wave of sarcastic comments from netizens, suggesting that she consider relocating to Goa, where she owns a house.
“Your arrogance and your sharam karo bhashan (shaming lecture) in Parliament made Amethi liberate you,” Bhavesh Chauhan posted on X.“RaGa (Rahul Gandhi) changed his constituency, and you called him bhagoda (runaway). Now you will run to Goa.”
Another user, Prittam Kothadiya, said, “Time to book a flight to Goa and lead Silly Souls Madam”, as the discussion veered to the involvement of Irani’s daughter in a cafe at Assagao.
C S Prasad, another user, remarked, “In Amethi, Kishori Lal is the clear winner now. Smriti Irani already packed her things and went to Goa Silly Souls.” A user, Anil Alex, quipped, “Nation wants to know.... Will Smriti Irani shift her house to Delhi or Goa?”
