‘I’m committed to developing Belgaum constituency’
Hubballi: I will discharge the responsibility given by the party efficiently, said former CM and newly elected Belgaum MP Jagadish Shettar.
After arriving here for the first time after winning the Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday, he offered prayers at Sri Siddharoodha Mutt. “I have won the Belgaum LS constituency by a margin of around 1.8 lakh votes.
I will not forget the support and confidence of the people in me and for electing as an MP,” he said, adding: “I’m committed to developing the Belgaum constituency.”
He had promised to make Belgaum a model Lok Sabha constituency, and also clean and beautiful. Bringing many industries to rural areas and providing jobs to the unemployed, have also been his assurances to the electorate. “NDA govt will come to power under the leadership of Narendra Modi at the Centre. People’s mandate is for BJP,” he added. Shettar’s wife Shilpa Shettar, former minister Shankar Patil Munenakoppa, MLC Pradeepa Shettar, Hubballi-Dharwad Mahanagar Zilla president Tipanna Majjagi, former mayor Veeranna Savadi, corporator Santosh Chavan, and others were present.
