Covid-19: Telangana government extends holidays for schools, colleges till January 30

Earlier, the government had declared holidays for all educational institutions from January 8 to January 16. Now, the government has extended the holidays till January 30 in view of rising Covid-19 cases. Orders are expected to be issued shortly.

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government extended vacations for all educational institutions, except medical colleges till January 30, 2022, tweeted Somesh Kumar, chief secretary of Telangana.
Earlier, the government had declared holidays for all educational institutions from January 8 to January 16.
Now, the government has extended the holidays till January 30 in view of rising Covid-19 cases.Orders are expected to be issued shortly.
Following this, all the institutions have decided to continue online classes. Among them is Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) that instructed all colleges to hold online classes for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
"All UG/PG courses (BTech, BPharm first and second years, MTech/MPharm, first and second years, MBA/MCA first and second year, PharmD first to five year, PharmD first and second years classes to be conducted in online mode," read circular issued by Manzoor Hussain, JNTUH registrar to all the affiliated and constituent colleges.
Mid-exams scheduled for PharmD second year from January 17 to January 22 may be conducted during the second spell of instructions as per the convenience of colleges.
