Jodhpur police arrest SI paperleak mastermindfrom Sikar apt
JODHPUR/JAIPUR: In a major breakthrough, the mastermind of the SI recruitment exam 2021 paper leak, Paurav Kaler, was arrested by a special team of the Jodhpur police from Sikar on Friday. Jodhpur IGP Vikas Kumar said the accused, who carried a cash reward of Rs 50,000, used to run the Chanakya Coaching Centre in Bikaner. He has earlier been arrested in the 'bluetooth copying racket' during the 2021 patwari recruitment exam.
"We had formed a special team called the 'Cycloner' to catch Kaler.We have been searching for him in states like Gujarat, Goa, Delhi and Punjab apart from Rajasthan. In the past two months, our team travelled 2,000km to trace Kaler and finally succeeded in arresting him from Sikar on Friday, where he was hiding in an apartment," Kumar said.
Police later handed him to the team investigating the paper leak case. According to the IGP, Kaler would charge anywhere from Rs 10 to Rs 15 lakh per student for leaked question papers.
