After 12 years, a male topper in Lucknow University MBA

LUCKNOW: Lucknow University medals list may be dominated by girl candidates but the jinx of boys not topping the merit list is over at least in the Master of Business Administration department with a male student poised to receive the gold medal at the forthcoming convocation.
“After 12 years, we will finally see a boy receiving a gold medal as in all these years, the two medals have always gone to girl candidates,” said head of the department Sanjay Medhavi.He added that this year’s MBA topper Rajat Verma is a bright student and got placed immediately after the MBA results were announced as a senior executive manager.
“I am working and at the same time preparing for Civil Services exam. Often, when I scored well in internal exams my friend used to mock that at the end of it all the department will get a girl topper,” said Rajat.
He will be receiving two medals, the Sri Anant Pandey Memorial Gold medal for highest percentage marks in MBA and Dr Krishna Sahai Chaudhary Gold Medal for highest marks in all four semesters.
