Maharashtra sent third-largest contingent of women MPs to Lok Sabha in 2019 election
Baramati is poised for an epic battle between Supriya Sule and her sister-inlaw Sunetra Pawar. Too bad only one of them will make it to the Lok Sabha from the state’s only all-women contest (as of now) of the 2024 polls.

724 women contested in the 2019 polls 78 emerged victorious, marking the largest-ever grouping of women in India’s parliamentary history Over 60% of the victors were first-time MP.
