Two held with drugs, gold and cash in Maharashtra

The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) busted a drug trafficking gang of three, including two women. They recovered 270g Mephedrone (MD), Rs 15L cash, 208g gold (Rs 12L). The accused were Varun Tiwari, Rohit Gosavi, and Asma Sameer Shaikh. Cash of Rs 14.69L seized.

MUMBAI: The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) have busted a drug trafficking gang of three, including two women, from whom they have recovered 270 grams of MD, cash of Rs 14.69 lakh, and 208 grams of gold worth Rs 11.70.
Acting on the intelligence the Mumbai NCB unit laid a trap near Anand Nagar Toll Naka at Eastern Express highway and intercepted a red colour Swift Dezire car and seized 270 grams of white colour substances purported to be Mephedrone (MD) and cornered three persons identified as Varun Tiwari (21), Rohit Gosavi (25) and Asma Sameer Shaikh (28).
Later the agency raided Asma's flat in Kasaiwada in Kurla east and seized the cash and gold. Officials said that the accused were into drug supplying and trafficking.
