Close shave for 15 as bus goes up in flames on Yamuna e-way

A bus carrying 15 passengers caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway on Thursday. No injuries were reported as the passengers, bus staff and the driver had got down from it after noticing smoke billowing from the engine.

NOIDA: A bus carrying 15 passengers caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway on Thursday. No injuries were reported as the passengers, bus staff and the driver had got down from it after noticing smoke billowing from the engine.
The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus was travelling towards Jewar from Noida. The bus driver alerted the fire department and tenders were dispatched to the spot.Before emergency services could arrive, though, the flames were already extinguished by the fire service personnel stationed at the Jewar toll plaza and Jaypee Infratech around 4pm.
According to chief fire officer of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pradeep Chaubey, “A commuter had posted a video of the burning bus on social media in the afternoon. A unit from the Ecotech-1 fire station rushed to the spot.”
