LS poll results: RJD convenes meet next week
Patna: The RJD has convened a review meeting next week with the party district presidents, Lok Sabha candidates, who contested from different seats in the LS polls recently, and senior party leaders.
During the meeting, there will be discussions on the party's performance in all the seats it contested in the Lok Sabha, as well as the planning of strategies for the upcoming assembly election next year, said a senior RJD leader, adding that the meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 20 and 21 at the official bungalow of the leader of opposition, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.

"All the candidates have been called to analyses the areas where they fell short. This analysis will help in better preparation for the assembly election next year. We will also discuss the upcoming by-polls. Out of the 23 seats contested, RJD managed to secure four seats. However, the party had expected a higher number of seats. We need to examine why the crowd that attended Tejashwi Ji's rally did not translate into votes. There are a few seats that we narrowly missed. We will identify the reasons for our failure in those seats," said the RJD leader.
He also mentioned that the performance of the Samajwadi Party in neighboring Uttar Pradesh was better than that of RJD in Bihar.
The leader attributed this to the polarization of votes between Yadavs and non-Yadavs, which will also be discussed during the meeting.
In a separate development, RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav criticized the NDA government for its silence on the NEET paper leak issue. Tejashwi said that while the culprits had admitted to their crime, the government was unwilling to acknowledge it.
"Whether the BJP is in power at the centre or in the state, it is evident that there will be a paper leak. Despite having all the evidence, the education minister refuses to accept it," Tejashwi stated on his social media account.
