PATNA: Extending his party’s unequivocal support to the election of Narendra Modi for the post of Prime Minister for a third consecutive term, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar expressed confidence that the PM-elect would develop India and also pay attention to Bihar.
During a meeting of newly elected MPs of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in New Delhi, the Janata Dal (United) president said the party wholeheartedly supported Modi, will remain with him forever, Nitish said at the central hall of Samvidhan Sadan, the old Parliament House.

“Bihar and the country will progress a lot under the leadership of the Prime Minister. I hope all works of Bihar will be done. Whatever schemes/ projects are left out, all those will be cleared by him,” Nitish said, while pointing towards Modi.
Nitish said it was a matter of great happiness that Narendra Modi has been the country’s prime minister for the last 10 years. “And he is once again going to become the prime minister. He has served the whole country and we have strong belief that he, in the coming tenure, will complete all the works which could not be completed in the last two terms,” Nitish added.
Singing paeans for Modi, the JD(U) president slammed the opposition and expressed confidence that they would be defeated in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. “I have noticed that a few people have won (during this Lok Sabha elections) here and there by saying useless things. They haven't done any work and never served the country. Next time (in 2029 polls) when you win, they all (opposition leaders) will be defeated,” Nitish said as BJP leaders applauded.
