Vizag: 3 arrested with drugs, fourth accused at large

VISAKHAPATNAM: City Task Force (CTF) police arrested three persons, including a woman, and seized drugs from them. The arrested were: Aripaka Loka Venkata Hemanth Kumar (35) of Marripalem in Vizag, Ganta Malavya (24) of Hyderabad, and Uppalapati Prudhvi Raju (33) of Venkojopalem in Vizag. The fourth accused, Kilari Geethanjali alias Geetha, is yet to be arrested.
Police seized 18 pills of MDMA, two small packets of MD crystal powder, one car, three mobiles and 20,500 in cash.
Cops said Hemanth Kumar asked Prudhvi to pay 33,600 to Geetha to procure drugs. Prudhvi made the payment to Geetha and the drugs were handed over to Malavya, a friend of Hemanth’s in Hyderabad.
Malavya came to Vizag from Hyderabad by bus and boarded a car near NAD Kotha Road on Monday morning. Based on credible information, CTF personnel intercepted the car and seized the drugs.
