BHUBANESWAR: Union education minister
Dharmendra Pradhan hailed the decision to allocate over Rs 1 lakh crore in the
Union Budget for development of the sector.
He said the budget has stressed on welfare of all sections of the society and reflects the aspirations of new India.

Saptagiri Ulaka, said the Budget has nothing to address issues like unemployment, price rise, inflation, farmer distress and middle-class.

Naveen Patnaik said the reduction of allocation to agriculture and farmer welfare, higher education, rural development and women and child development could hamper inclusive growth. He said the reduction in food subsidy will put farmers in serious trouble.
