Prime Video has just released the first Red Band trailer for "Sausage Party: Foodtopia," the animated series sequel to the 2016 movie "Sausage Party." Set to premiere on July 11, the series continues the story of the food characters who escaped their supermarket reality and now face new challenges in the human world.

"Sausage Party: Foodtopia" picks up where the movie left off, with the characters celebrating their victory over the supermarket. However, their newfound freedom is short-lived as they struggle to survive outside the store. Frank, voiced by Seth Rogen, and his friends soon realize that the human world is full of dangers they hadn't anticipated, including deadly rain. This pushes them to seek help from humans to learn how to survive.
The main voice cast from the original movie returns, including Seth Rogen as Frank, Kristen Wiig as Brenda, Michael Cera as Barry, David Krumholtz as Lavash, and Edward Norton as Sammy. New additions to the cast include Natasha Rothwell, Yassir Lester, Sam Richardson, and Will Forte.
The series is executive produced by Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter, who also serve as showrunners and co-wrote the original movie. Conrad Vernon, who directed the movie, is also directing episodes of the series. Seth Rogen has described the series as "unbelievably shocking," hinting at some particularly surprising scenes.
