On Saturday night, social media was abuzz with videos and news stories about Raveena Tandon’s driver knocking down a woman and injuring her. Raveena stepped in to pacify everyone and certain online reports claimed that she was attacked by the mob in the process.

Senior Police Inspector Mohan Mane, Khar police station, told us, “The matter is blown out of proportion.There was no accident, and no one was hurt. Raveena Tandon was returning home (situated near Carter Road). After she went inside, her driver was just reversing the car, when three women who were walking on the road started shouting at the driver and telling him to be careful with his driving. He got into an argument, and Raveena ji also came out and tried to solve the issue. The two parties got into an unnecessary fight. Around 10 pm, Raveena ji with her husband Anil Thadani and the women came to police station and gave us a written note that the issue was resolved, and no one wanted to file a complaint. The matter is resolved.”
Raveena’s team had not issued an official statement till the time of going to press.
Raveena Tandon will be seen in the film Welcome to the Jungle and Ghudchadi. The actress has been part of many Bollywood films and she also received the Padma Shri last year. She is known to be an environmentalist and has also worked with PETA. She is an animal lover and has adopted many pets and rescued them.
