Actress Kangana Ranaut, who recently became the new MP for Himachal Pradesh's 'Mandi', recently spoke about the time when a part of her house in Mumbai was demolished by the BMC when she had a public spat with the former Shiv Sena government.
During her conversation with The Himachali Podcast, Kangana Ranaut said she felt quite violated, describing it as if a lot of violence had been unleashed on her.
She explained that a house is an extension of oneself, and having hers violently broken felt like a personal attack at the time.
The actress added that her takeaway from the incident was the extensive support she received from people in Maharashtra and across India. Referring to the Shiv Sena incident, she mentioned that people have told her she is courageous and acknowledged that the event garnered a certain fan following.
When Kangana was asked if the incident triggered her desire to enter politics, she responded that, contrary to popular belief, her motivation to try new things in life never stemmed from bitterness, as negativity drains her. She mentioned that even when she stated that Amitabh Bachchan would receive immense respect, she still stands by that sentiment.

For those unaware, in September 2020, a part of Kangana Ranaut's property in Bandra, Mumbai, was demolished by the BMC on the grounds of illegal construction. At the time, she was in conflict with the political party Shiv Sena. She later obtained a stay order on the demolition and demanded Rs 2 crore in compensatory damages, a claim she eventually retracted.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will be next seen in the film 'Emergency', in which she plays former PM Indira Gandhi. It stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman, Late Satish Kaushik, and Mahima Chaudhary in important roles.
