‘Music direction is a complex job’
Many elements need to be juggled when directing music.
We need to bring out a singer’s unique abilities, while also being able to balance the rawness of the song. Over-refining a music production can dehumanise it and at the same time, an undercooked production can come out sounding ordinary. I learnt to strike this balance through my mistakes and with the help of repeated feedback from friends and family.
‘You should always do one thing that really excites you’
I grew up watching my father make time for music, even if he’s had the busiest day possible. No matter what we do to meet our daily needs, one should indulge in an activity which satisfies the soul; which is what I found in music.

I want to explore the various regional folk music in India. I want to continue as a music composer, along with being a teacher of Philosophy of Sound & Science communication
