‘Padachone Ingalu Katholi’: Dinesh Prabhakar: I play the role of a Sakhavu with a tragic past - Exclusive

From the movie ‘Panchavadi Palam’ to ‘Ponmuttayidunna Tharavu’, there have been several Malayalam movies that give importance to their side characters rather than focusing on the main character only and most of the films click well among the audiences too. The upcoming Sreenath Bhasi - Grace Antony starrer ‘Padachone Ingalu Katholi’ also seems to be focusing on its interesting characters residing in a small village.

As the film is gearing up for its release, ETimes reached out to the actor Dinesh Prabhakar who was all excited to speak up about the project that he considers to be the most promising one among his upcoming movies.
“‘Padachone Ingalu Katholi’ is basically a social satire movie that is told from the backdrop of North Malabar areas. The plot revolves around a group of interesting characters that reside in a small imaginary village named Chinthamangalam.”, said Dinesh Prabhakar during the interview.
Speaking further about his character, Dinesh Prabhakar said, “I play the role of a Sakhavu with a tragic past where he loses his beloved friend. My character Sakhavu Giri has strong political views and he would go to any extent for the benefit of his party. Deep down Sakhavu Giri is actually a good person who makes decisions for the well-being of others.”
Helmed by the director Bijith Bala, ‘Padachone Ingalu Katholi’ has a casting coup of sorts. Actors Sreenath Bhasi, Grace Antony, Johny Antony, Alencier Ley Lopez, and Hareesh Kanaran in significant roles.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Prabhakar got much adulation for his previous outings 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ and ‘Valimai’. The actor also has a host of highly ambitious projects in the pipeline that includes ‘Kanakarajyam’, ‘Veekam’, and ‘Ottakomban’.
