‘Thalavan’ box office collections day 11: Asif Ali’s film collects Rs 9.9 crores

Within 11 days, the Asif Ali and Biju Menon starrer crime drama movie ‘Thalavan’ has raked in Rs 9.9 crores at the Kerala box office.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Thalavan’ grossed Rs 5 lakhs on day 11, and the week 1 collections for the film amounted to Rs 5.9 crores. The worldwide collections for the film stand at Rs 16.5 crore, and the overseas collections are Rs 5.1 crore.
The Indian gross collections for ‘Thalavan’ within 11 days amount to Rs 11.4 crore. Overall, the box office performance of ‘Thalavan’ looks impressive. As the movie is getting good reviews, it can be expected that the collections may soar in the long run.
Directed by Jis Joy, the crime drama film ‘Thalavan’ hit the big screens on May 24th, and the movie received good responses from the audiences. Even though the film came with less hype, it seems that the content and the performances in the movie have impressed the audiences, hence the impressive box office numbers.
With 'Thalavan', it can be surely said that the Mollywood actor Asif Ali has made his right comeback. The previous hit for the young star was Jeethu Joseph’s directorial suspense drama film ‘Kooman: The Night Rider’.
