However, his perspective changed when he encountered the script for Jeethu Joseph's 'Neru.' Reflecting on this pivotal moment, he shared, "That was the time when I got to hear the script of Jeethu Joseph’s ‘Neru,’ and I immediately committed to it." He seems determined to focus solely on quality projects, emphasizing his intent to avoid mediocre ventures, stating, "I have now taken a decision that I will only act in such good films as ‘Neru’ and won’t commit to mediocre projects."

Ganesh Kumar was initially concerned about scheduling conflicts due to a foreign commitment. He conveyed his apprehensions to Jeethu Joseph, but an unexpected change in the shooting schedule of Mohanlal facilitated his involvement in the film. The rescheduled dates aligned perfectly, allowing Ganesh Kumar to join the movie.
