'Indian 2' directed by S. Shankar, scheduled for release on July 12, 2024. Before its premiere, the creators organized a lavish audio launch event at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai. During the star-studded gathering on June 1, actor-singer Shruti Haasan delighted the audience with a medley of Kamal Haasan's songs. The Salaar actress later shared glimpses of her performance along with a heartfelt message.
Expressing her thanks to her father, Kamal Haasan, she wrote, “What a night! It was so honored to perform a tribute to @ikamalhaasan, my dear Appa, at the massive Indian 2 audio launch! I am always happy to see him smile when I sing because so much of why I am the musician I am today is because of him.”

Sending best wishes to the whole Indian 2 team, she added, “Wishing the entire Indian 2 team the best of success, and @anirudhofficial, you kill it every single time with your incredible music! You are pure, and the soundtrack is beyond!”

During the audio launch event of Indian 2, the stage was crowded with the movie's cast and crew, such as Kajal Aggarwal, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, and Brahmanandam. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Nelson Dilipkumar, and actor Silambarasan TR were also present at the audio launch.
