Manchu Vishnu's 'Kannappa' commences in New Zealand with a 600-member crew; Prabhas and Nayanthara expected to star in the film

The film has generated significant buzz ever since it was announced last month.Earlier reports indicated that the movie would be filmed in locations such as New Zealand, Andhra Pradesh, and Hyderabad. There have also been speculations about the involvement of renowned actors like Prabhas and Nayanthara in prominent roles. It's worth noting that the film's producer, Mohan Babu, who is also Manchu Vishnu's father, is set to play a significant part in the movie.

In the most recent development, it has been confirmed that filming for the movie has officially begun in New Zealand. The actor known for his role in ‘Ginna’ shared this exciting update on social media. He also expressed that this project had been a long-cherished dream of his for the past seven years.
‘Kannappa’ is described as an action-packed adventure-drama movie inspired by the true tale of Bhakta Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. The initial concept for the story was conceived by Tanikella Bharani, and it was subsequently adapted into a screenplay by a team of accomplished writers, including V. Vijayendra Prasad, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, G. Nageswara Reddy, Thota Prasad, and Sainath Thotapalli.The musical score for the movie will be composed by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devassy.
Prabhas is gearing up for his upcoming project titled ‘Salaar,’ directed by Prashanth Neel, renowned for his work in the hit movie ‘KGF.’ The film boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, which includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, Ramachandra Raju, and several other talented actors, in addition to the acclaimed "Baahubali" actor Prabhas.
The film's release date was recently delayed due to VFX-related issues, and there are speculations that it might now hit screens on December 22nd. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this rescheduled release date.
Following the tremendous success of ‘Jawan,’ Nayanthara is experiencing a surge in her career. Her upcoming project is the psychological action thriller movie titled ‘Iraivan,’ directed by I. Ahmed. The film boasts a cast that includes Jayam Ravi, Rahul Bose, Ashish Vidyarthi, Narain, and others. It's scheduled for release on September 28th.
