Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan is likely to be sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh today, alongside Chandrababu Naidu, who will assume the role of Chief Minister for the fourth time. The grand ceremony in Vijayawada will see attendance from prominent political leaders and film personalities.

Actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan is expected to be offered the role of deputy chief minister in the new N Chandrababu Naidu-led government in Andhra Pradesh. As Chandrababu Naidu prepares to be sworn in as chief minister for the fourth time today.
Despite the finalization of the list of MLAs who will take oath as Ministers, the official announcement of the portfolios remains pending.

Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party won all 21 Assembly seats it contested and secured two Parliament seats in the recent elections. Alongside Pawan, Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh from the Jana Sena Party are set to join the state cabinet. According to PTI, the new government is likely to allocate five to six ministerial positions to its allies.
Pawan Kalyan emerged victorious from the Pithapuram assembly constituency. In the 2019 elections, Pawan faced a major setback, losing all seats except one in the Razole assembly seat. However, in the 2024 polls, he played a key role in forming the NDA alliance of TDP, BJP, and Janasena, leading to a sweeping victory.

The grand oath-taking ceremony is expected to have several film personalities such as Pawan’s family, including his brother Chiranjeevi, his wife Surekha, their daughters, granddaughters, and son Ram Charan, have already arrived in Vijayawada.
