Popular Telugu comedian to join AP politics

As per the latest updates, ace comedian turned lead actor Sapthagiri, who hails from Irala in Chittoor district, will reportedly join a leading political party in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to local media, he reportedly said that he got an invite to support the party because he has been a fan of its leader, N. Chandrababu Naidu, for a long time. He also said that he had seen his development for a few years and that he hails from the same place as the leader; therefore, he will be joining the party soon.
He revealed to the media that he would officially join the party in the next 15 days.The comedian, who made his acting debut with ‘Bommarillu’ in 2006, turned lead actor with the 2016 comedy film ‘Saptagiri Express' and he was part of over nine films this year in Telugu cinema.
His last release was ‘Unstoppable’ and his next film is 'Salaar' starring Prabhas.
Saptagiri also turned producer with the 2019 film Bhagyanagara Veedullo Gamattu and reportedly says she has been filming for ‘Goldman’ in the lead role and has a couple of other Telugu movies in talks.
