NASA's exciting Mars adventure begins!

NASA has started a Mars mission where they have locked four courageous volunteers inside a "Mars simulator." This mission is called "CHAPEA 1," and it's the first of three simulations the volunteers will experience.
Inside the simulator, they have Kelly Haston, a research scientist; Ross Brockwell, a structural engineer; Nathan Jones, an emergency medicine physician; and Anca Selariu, a US Navy microbiologist.These experts will stay inside the simulator for a mind-boggling 378 days!
Just like real astronauts on Mars, the four volunteers will face tough challenges. They have to complete different tasks assigned by NASA while also taking care of their daily chores like cooking, washing, making beds, and exercising. They even have to practice farming on simulated Martian soil and grow their own crops!
Before the mission began, their leader, Grace Douglas, wished the volunteers well and said, "Thank you all for your dedication to exploration. Our best wishes go with you."
Kelly Haston, who will be commanding the mission, says that her crewmates are incredibly passionate about space exploration. Even though they will be stuck in a small space together, they are all very excited about the journey. "We are a fantastic group of scientists working together to make CHAPEA 1 a reality."
Inside the Mars simulator, there are different spaces like private rooms, a kitchen, a medical care room, a recreation room, an exercise area, a workspace, a farming area, and even bathrooms. All of this is created within a small area of 1,700 square feet.
