Case against UK-based Indian-origin prof for 'provoking' Manipur groups
A police complaint has been filed in Imphal against UK-based computer science professor of Indian descent Uday Reddy, alleging that his social media activity provoked ethnic tensions in violence-stricken Manipur. FIR against Reddy of University of Birmingham was lodged by a local resident at Imphal police station, citing his posts on X. His handle @Kautilya33 has been "withheld in response to a legal demand", reported.
In response, Kuki Students' Organisation-Delhi & NCR condemned the complaint, describing it as "frivolous".
