'Will Nitish walk the talk, what about TDP?': Congress on Bihar, Andhra special status

Shortly after the JDU passed a resolution advocating for special status for Bihar, Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh queried whether CM Nitish Kumar would similarly push for such a resolution through the state cabinet. Ramesh also raised questions about why the TDP had not yet taken steps to pass a resolution seeking special category status for Andhra Pradesh. He also shared two video footage of PM Modi where he is heard making promises regarding the grant of the special status of Bihar and Andhra.

NEW DELHI: Hours after JDU passed a resolution seeking special status for Bihar, Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh questioned if CM Nitish Kumar would also make the state cabinet pass such a resolution. He further said why TDP was yet to pass resolution seeking special category status for Andhra Pradesh.
"The JD(U) has just passed a resolution reiterating the demand for special category status in Central assistance to Bihar.
Will the CM summon the courage to have the state Cabinet to also pass such a resolution," Ramesh said in a post on X.
"Will the CM of Bihar walk the talk?" he asked.

Sharing two video footage of PM Modi where he is heard making promises regarding the grant of the special status of Bihar and Andhra, Ramesh questioned why NDA ally TDP was yet to pass a resolution regarding the grant of special package to the state.
"And what about TDP in its new innings? Why has it not yet passed such a resolution for Andhra Pradesh, a promise emphasised by the non-biological PM in the holy city of Tirupati on April 30, 2014", he said.
JDU on Saturday demanded a grant of special status or special financial package to Bihar from the central government. It also sought strict action against the paper leak case accused and urged it to pass strong laws in Parliament to curb exam irregularities.
