This piece featured an aerospace aluminum breastplate designed to mimic drapery, a masterpiece that took over 30 artisans to complete. The breastplate was 3D-carved, sculpted, and then 3D-printed, showcasing the height of contemporary couture. “I want people to see couture coming from America, New York, as well, not just from Europe,” Ling told Vogue. Radhika praised Ling, saying, “She is an amazing, amazing person at her craft.”
