Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rukmini Maitra promise to donate saplings to Dev's green initiative

Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee extended his help to Dev’s green initiative, which involves planting a new tree for every vote he received in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The actor garnered around 8,37,000 votes, and as promised, he announced that his constituency would witness the plantation of around eight lakh saplings over the tenure of five years. Prosenjit Chatterjee lent a hand, promising to donate ten thousand saplings.He took to social media to praise Dev’s efforts, writing, “Great initiative, Dev. I am with you. 10,000 plants from me for this.”

Actress Rukmini Maitra also took to social media a few days back to applaud Dev for this noble cause. She expressed her intention to donate ten thousand plants from her end. After a tough battle, Dev secured success in the parliamentary election for the third time in Ghatal, significantly increasing his margin. Defeating actor Hiraan Chatterjee from the opposition party by 1,82,000 votes.
