Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra starer ‘Love Hostel’ premiered today. While the leading actors have shined in the film, it’s also actor Raj Arjun who added depth to the narrative by donning the cop’s uniform as DCP Rathi in Shanker Raman's directorial.

Talking about his role, Raj Arjun shared, "You will not see a normal routine police officer who goes to work and solve cases but a deep layer in this character which I think the audience will connect a lot more than just a police officer.
Our writer and director tried to potray a cop's personal life as a person who also goes through a lot of things which you will get to see in the film."
When asked about how he prepared for the character, he said, "Each character and the script itself tells you how to prepare. With this, I went opposite the way I usually go, I mean I first changed my look to look like a cop so that eventually I can start feeling like one. Because that is the only way to be true to the character and once you achieve that stage then you don't need to try to impress someone with your performance. It all happens naturally. Tab khel ho jata hai bus."
Speaking about the challenges of playing a cop for the first time he added, "The magical and exciting part about being an actor is playing different lives which you have never played before and that comes with a lot of challenges. And When something like this comes to you, which you have not done before, to make it utterly believable with your honesty, itself becomes very challenging. The main thing is to evolve slowly and touch gradually to get into the character step by step. This is the only way to get hold of and engross the character in you emotionally and physically both to justify. Rest audiences would be the best judge to tell me if I have succeeded or not."

“It was nostalgic because it's my first time to shoot in Bhopal for a project. I always wanted to go there with something big and valuable. I dreamed to shoot something important for my life in my birthplace,” he shared the shooting experience in his hometown Bhopal.
