With that single-point agenda in mind, we set up X-Labs (Fitterfly's state-of-the-art innovation center) in July 2023, right on our 7th Foundation Day! We were simultaneously thinking a lot about how to take our goal of helping 1 billion people with better health outcomes to the next level. We thought and then thought some more! But what we didn’t know was that we already had all the answers in our own backyard.
And that was - our experience helping nearly 30,000 people with diabetes and obesity and our in-depth conversations with members. We already had a goldmine of insights. This rich foundation of human intelligence, along with our coaching methods, guidelines, and analytics, was ripe for developing Al and digital solutions on a larger scale.
So, What Did We Do with This Gold?
Our exceptional tech & product team, X-Labs, and medical staff came together and created a cutting-edge digital tool designed for diabetes, obesity, and wellness - The awesome part is that this tool is versatile enough to operate within any app.
What Followed? A Groundbreaking Partnership!
We couldn't have chosen a better collaborator for our first partnership than HDFC Ergo, India's top private health insurer. Our visions perfectly aligned, and with millions of individuals with diabetes covered by HDFC Ergo's Diabetes Insurance, we launched our tool in their HERE app. I am proud to say that this marks a pioneering step in India. Not Just in India, But We're Making Waves Globally, too...
We were invited to present our research and tools at the prestigious ATTD conference in Florence, Italy, from March 6-9, 2024. We were at Booth 24, demonstrating our latest tech and Al innovations that make a difference for people with diabetes. We also presented an e-poster and a paper on an innovation from X-Labs (on Virtual CGM). Presenting at the world's leading diabetes tech conference was a tremendous honour for us and for the entire Indian Healthtech segment.

Spreading The Goodness of DTx
Healthcare Simplified for All - with that in our hearts, Vineet N. (Chief Medical Officer, Fitterfly), talked to doctors at the Womencon 2024 conference about using digital therapeutics (DTx) to manage diabetes better. We explained how people worldwide and in India are quickly starting to use these simple technologies and are benefitting massively. We also gave them tips on how doctors can help their patients use these tech solutions to better care for their diabetes.
