NEW DELHI: The question of when Rahul Gandhi will marry has been a recurring one, and it was posed once again to him during an interaction with female students of Srinagar, a clip of which the leader of opposition shared on his X account.
Sitting with students at a table in an open ground in Srinagar, Rahul said, "The women of Kashmir have strength, resilience, wisdom and a whole lot to say.

But are we giving them a chance for their voices to be heard?"
The interaction between the Congress leader and the students covered a range of topics including politics, education, employment and inevitably marriage.

After a short video interaction of the students with Congress leader and Rahul's sister Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul asked the girls if they were facing marriage pressure but the question was soon posed back at him.
The 54-year-old leader smiled and said, "I have outlasted that pressure for 20-30 years," before adding, "but it is a good thing."
A follow-up question soon followed on his wedding plan, to which he said, "Yeah, yeah. I mean, I don't plan it. But if it happens...."

The students then requested an invitation, to which he promised, "I will. I will."
Rahul was posed this question earlier this year during a rally in the Raebareli parliamentary constituency. Priyanka, who was present at the gathering, urged him to answer the "Shaadi kab karoge (When will you marry)?" question. Rahul had then said, "Ab jaldi karni padegi (Will have to do it soon now)" in Hindi.
Lasr year, during a massive opposition rally in Patna, Lalu Yadav had asked Rahul to get married, saying, "Shaadi kariye, hum log baraati chalenge (Get married, we would like to be a part of your wedding procession)." The Congress leader had responded in good humor, saying, "Now, that you have said it, it will happen."
