🌟 A heartfelt thank you to the Apollo Opportunity Foundation (AOF) and their volunteers for supporting the "Junior Data Engineering Program" as part of their Apollo Communities Together (ACT) campaign in Hong Kong! The pre-employment training bootcamp empowers first-time job seekers with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the tech industry. 🚀 We were honored to visit AOF's office, where their Human Capital and Investment team led insightful professional development sessions on "Keys to Success in a Corporate World" and a career-coaching Q&A. During the breakout session, 17 dedicated AOF volunteers engaged in meaningful discussions with our learners, addressing their fears of landing a tech job as fresh juniors in the tech field and providing invaluable advice and encouragement. 💪 Our learners, initially feeling doubtful and anxious at their career crossroads, left the event inspired and more ready to embark on their professional journeys. 🌈 Interested in partnering with us to help young people reach their full potential? We were honored to conduct the Career Life Development (CLD) online workshop for the students who participated in the Business Simulation Competition for Secondary Schools 2024 organized by the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA). This competition attracted 428 students from 75 secondary schools. This online workshop consisted of two parts: 1. Career exploration session which assisted students to explore their career interest with the VASK (Values, Attitudes, Skills, Knowledge) tool, which was created by CLAP@JC  Our colleagues coached students utilizing this tool during this interactive session and enabling students to have a  better understanding of their interests and career inclinations. 2. Inspiring sharing sessions by successful business leaders from different sectors, including Mr. Brian Cheng (CEO, Generation Hong Kong), Mr. Basil C. Cheung (Founder, Elio Brand Consultancy), Mr. Gabriel Kwan (CFO, Modern Dental Group), and Mr. Wesley Ling (Human Resources Director, FundPark). They shared their personal career journeys and provided valuable tips for the upcoming business simulation competition. We are thrilled to see the students' enthusiasm and dedication, and we can't wait to witness their performance in the competition. 🎉 Calling Generation HK’s alumni 🎉 Generation HK recently hosted two resoundingly successful alumni gatherings, both were filled with energy and laughter. The supportive and collaborative spirit is at the heart of the Generation community. Based on the feedback from our recent alumni survey, we learned that our alumni were eager to learn from each other’s experiences and continue supporting one another beyond the program. That's why these reunion events were so special - our alumni were deeply engaged, enthusiastically exchanging ideas and forming new connections.
