We've officially opened the Global Centre of Excellence for glass in R&D, innovation and training! 🎇 Read the full story: 👉 https://lnkd.in/e_tw2vK6 Thanks to the ongoing support of our founders, members, funders and supporters that we could reach this point – but this really is just the start. The facility will soon be home to a unique experimental furnace and other technology that will pioneer ways of making carbon neutral glass. Over 100 guests attended the official opening which brought together Glass Futures members from around the world including glass manufacturers and university academics with funders and local politicians. It was a wonderful to work with local talent such as the St Helens College apprentices who catered the event before heading to the World of Glass Museum who hosted us for a drink's reception and glass blowing demonstrations.
