We have been delighted to welcome delegates from the National Institute of Teaching School Trust CEO Programme this week for their second immersion week of the programme. The focus of the week has been on ‘Effective Communication.' The participants have enjoyed a broad range of activities, giving them practical skills and insights that can only be gained through direct experience. We hope the experience will strengthen their understanding through engagement in activities at every level within the running of a Trust. We are delighted for Oasis Academy Immingham who have been awarded the Eco-Schools’ Green Flag Award with distinction! Not only this, but they've also received special recognition from Sir David Attenborough for their work around the care for nature and wildlife 🌲 Eco-Schools praised the academy for adopting an inclusive approach taken to form the Eco-committee, for building a polytunnel, for working in partnership with the local community to grow plants, for opening a plant ‘swap shop,’ which is open to the public twice a week, where members of the public are encouraged to rehome or swap various plants and vegetable plant for free!
