A mum has been praised as a “genius” for coming up with a hack for packing her children's suitcase for a family holiday.

Her handy method not only saves her from having to mix and match outfits while on vacation but also allows her to see at a glance what items she has packed.

She explained that she spent just £7 on a shoe organiser and rolls her children's clothes inside it, leaving them ready to wear while on holiday.

In a TikTok video, Anna, known online as @annashieldss, said: "If you're a mum then you've probably seen this packing hack all over social media.

“Since we're travelling for the weekend, I figured I would try it out to see if it actually works.”

The content creator elaborated: "All you do is wrap up the complete outfit for your child - I even included the diaper in mine - and pop them into a shoe organiser in these little holes.

"This was so simple. I couldn't believe how well everything fit in.

“Since we are only traveling for three days, I packed both of my toddlers' in one shoe organiser."

However, Anna noted that this method might be tricky for parents of older children since their complete outfits might not fit in one shoe slot due to the larger and heavier clothing.

“You can still do it by separating tops and bottoms," she explained.

"After you've filled it up, all you do is roll it up and pop it into a carry-on suitcase."

Nonetheless, TikTok users seemed to love the affordable hack, with one person commenting: "This is so smart!"

Another user added: "Can't wait to try." A third user said: "Genius!" while, a third person chimed in: "Yes! So handy!"
