Child care costs are skyrocketing, waitlists are years long, early educators are some of the lowest-paid workers in the country, and child care centers in many communities are closing. But it doesn't have to be this way. 🎊 🎊 For the next Reimagining Childcare (RCC) Grantee Spotlight, we will be featuring Alliance for Early Success! Alliance for Early Success (AES) is a national non-profit that works-level advocates to support optimal development for young children. AES envisions that “every child in every state has what they need in the early years to realize their full potential for a lifetime.” AES work is guided by connectedness, adaptiveness, antiracism, comprehensiveness, bipartisanship, and patience, and their mission is “to create a powerful, diverse community that informs, accelerates, and amplifies early childhood policy allies’ effectiveness in achieving state actions necessary for each and every young child to thrive.”    The RCC Study, funded by the RWJF, will tell the story of how AES is creating spaces for collective power and transformative change in the early childhood ecosystem. AES has partnered with National Black Child Development Institute, 9to5, United Parent Leaders Action Network (UPLAN), and the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative to form the Power Equity Council to represent different voices in the field. By creating a table that represents collective power, the Power Equity Council aims to make shared funding decisions to help radically transform the early childhood ecosystem.
