Division of Laguna
District of Victoria
SAN FELIX ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented crisis that brings with it a lot of problems,
especially for the poor and marginalized sectors of our society. That’s why the Department of
Education came up with this alternative as part of Work from Home. Gulayan sa Paaralan is now
Gulayan sa Tahanan of the School Heads and Teachers of Victoria District. This is an alternative way
of using the time of DepEd personnel during the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
II. Objectives
III. Highlights
San Felix Elementary School participated in Gulayan sa Tahanan as part of Work from Home
during the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon due to Pandemic COVID-19 together with the
School Head (Irma S. Adolfo) and Public Schools District Supervisor (Eva Marie S. Cambe).
After the installation of containers, they cleaned and prepared the soil by plowing and mixing it
with garden soil. They also prepared seeds like mustasa, petsay, labanos, talong, lettuce, ampalaya
and sili in the containers.
Now we are waiting for the harvest of those vegetables so that some of them can be used for
supplementary meals at home.
