    About the Business

Toulouse is centered around the cuisine, décor, and imagery of the French Quarter and New Orleans. Our menu is expansive and ambitious, featuring traditional creole and French Quarter preparations, charcuterie, USDA prime steaks, fresh seafood, and one of the most extensive cold kitchen menus (garde manger) in the country. We believe we offer the greatest dining value found anywhere, which is then coupled with a richly textured decorative experience that was crafted with sincerity and conviction that we were making something of lasting and genuine value. We also serve a Happy Hour menu that we believe is simply the most compelling in the nation. It features more than fifty preparations and is served from 4 pm to 6 pm and from 10 pm to 11:30 pm.

We had the best dinner at Toulouse on our last night in Seattle! The restaurant is cozy with ornate decor, definitely gave me the New Orleans feel. We didn't have a reservation, but were seated right away.

The hot tip here is to go during happy hour from 4-6pm! They have a pre-fix dinner available during their happy hour for $47 pp which was so fun. They also have deals on drinks and other tasty apps. One of the best happy hour menus I've seen!

We started off with bread and olives and ordered some fun drinks. For our first course we had the fried chicken jambalaya and the bacon lardon salad. Both delicious! We had a tough time deciding on our entrees, but our waiter was great at helping us understand the menu. We ended up with the beef and lamb ragu and the Lucy Cajun shrimp & grits and WOW both were so tasty!!! We finished with the bread pudding (meh) and the beignets which were so fresh. Brought me right back to the streets of NOLA. Yum!!! Next time I'm in Seattle, I will be back!

Stopped by for a bite and bevies on a Monday evening and they were busy as usual being the popular establishment they are. Though there was only bar seating available, Eli made sure we got a table without too much delay so that we could have a comfortable, face to face conversation.

There is beauty in appreciating fresh, quality ingredients. Thoroughly enjoyed the jumbo asparagus wrapped in prosciutto which was served with a poached egg which I can never resist, and a fennel radish salad tossed in a gorgeous dressing that was purrfect and not overpowering. I am quite simple when it comes to salad dressings and you know you're at the right place by the small but important details.
We then shared Catalan style Patagonian prawns which paired beautifully with the effervescent and refreshing French 75 that Kevin, our server recommended. It was on the money without being too on the nose if you know what I mean.

For dessert, we shared a refreshing sorbet as a palate cleanser and I asked for some night cap options. Eli came to our table with some bottles and shared his knowledge about a herbaceous, slightly bitter digestif and a sweeter, fruity counterpart. I was inspired to try both and my stomach was thankful for the extra help in the digestive (or should I say digestif) department.

A gorgeous dining experience filled with merriment & laughter which was made possible by the attentive and thoughtful staff, delicious food & drink pairings, and French Quarter charm that we can enjoy right here in Queen Anne.
Eli went above and beyond and we made sure to let him know how much we appreciated him that evening. Kevin was great with timing and suggestions, and made sure we were looked after.

A grand evening that was not so "Petit" with nothing "to lose". Purrfect for a romantic occasion, a lively group catch up or a contemplative outing for one where you can easily get lost in the ambience and ambient lighting.

While I remember Toulouse Petit fondly from my first visits shortly after moving into the area, the restaurant has continually gotten pricier while competitors have really stepped it up. Coupling that with the recent hidden fees (service charges not shown until the bill arrives) and the constant failed health inspections over the years, I cannot recommend Toulouse Petit.

In the past I've really enjoyed having a solid cajun restaurant with all the right vibes, but recently I've been paying closer to $40-50pp and the food isn't as good as I remember it being. I've since had better gumbo and etouffe and I just absolutely cannot stand their business practices anymore.

That being said, I think the food/service is still fine, probably a 3ish star accounting for value and less given the (seriously it's been continuous over the years) poor health inspections (for an upscale place, mind you!!!) and shady business practices.

Came here for lunch. Got the fried chicken gumbo, shrimp creole pasta, and beignets. The gumbo was quite spicy, and even the pasta was a bit spicy (even though the waitress said it wouldn't be), so we had to order food off the kids menu for our kids. The food was really good though. The fried chicken was really tender with a nice crisp. Everything was flavorful without being too salty, greasy, or sweet. The hostess was also really friendly and helpful as we struggled with 2 young kids. Would highly recommend.

Went here for date night this last week. Even though it was a Tuesday, the place was packed. Reservations recommended. We found plenty of parking nearby. It was only a few minutes walk to the restaurant. If you love Cajun food, this is a must try.

When you enter the restaurant, you'll see that it is a total open floorplan with the bar located to the back. Very tall ceilings and the decor looks like it is straight out of New Orleans.

You very extensive menu with lots of different seafood, steak and Cajun choices. I opted for a dish that had grits, tomato sauce, vegetables, crawfish, andouille and six large prawn. It was spicy, but not too hot. My wife enjoyed a shrimp and rice dish very similar to jambalaya. I had a couple bites and it was also delicious.

Dessert was equally incredible. We had the banana cream pie and beignets with a chicory dipping sauce. They also have bananas Foster, crème brûlée, and some other delicious looking options.

Our server was attentive without hovering. Our water glasses were kept full and she was helpful and making recommendations. This was an outstanding evening and I highly recommend this place.

I love this place and have been eating her for at least 15 years. Took our niece last night & everything was incredible! The servers were amazing & always made themselves available. It was still light out, so we didn't get the full effect of the candles, but the vibe was immaculate even with the sun. My husband got bouillabaise, I got scallops, niece got gumbo, her boyfriend got roast chicken. For the table there was oyster mushrooms, haricots verts, and bread with butter. Dessert was beniegts, cheesecake & bread pudding. Each thing was a masterpiece of flavors!!!

My family came here on the fourth of July to celebrate my dad's birthday. We were so excited about this restaurant, especially with their large and adventurous menu.

I ordered the Cajun Shrimp with Linguine and really enjoyed the creamy sauce and peppers. Our server told us the linguine was hand-made by the chef, and the noodles were long and the perfect texture.

My mom had the barbecue shrimp and grits, when I sampled it I was surprised at how tangy the sauce was. It paired perfectly with the grits for mouth-watering comfort food. My dad's order of jambalaya had shrimp seasoned perfectly with a wide variety of spices. There was not enough rice in it though, way too many veggies, but I'm also just a picky eater haha.

For dessert my parents shared the bread pudding which came with a creamy salted caramel ice cream that paired perfectly with the bread pudding slices. My sister and I shared the beignets which were perfectly light and airy. The coffee sauce that came with our dessert was so sweet and delicious, we made sure to tell our server to pack it to go. Only the top two beignets were covered with powdered sugar though so we'll have to DIY garnish the bottom two.

Our server Nicole was so friendly, she efficiently served us, politely exchanging out our cutlery and boxing up our leftovers. She was kind and definitely made the experience so pleasant.

My family is so excited to continue returning to this restaurant thanks to their wide array of shrimp dishes . We all love eating shrimp so a restaurant with so many options to try is exactly what we've been looking for.

Came here on a weeknight at 9pm and got seated very quickly. Love the cozy ambiance with the real candles and lighting

Ordered two drinks, mussels, gumbo and the duck confit for two people. The mussels and sauce they were in were so delicious. We ordered the first option on the mussels portion in the menu. Would also recommend the duck confit.

Gumbo portion was large, but the flavor was not that impressive. Warm and hearty for sure, but not memorable.

Overall filling and pleasant meal. Would come again!

      1 check-in

Great Space Needle neighborhood dining establishment. Large selection of wines and classic cocktails. I had a Sazerac and my friend had a walnut Old Fashion. Both were delicious. Everything we ate was just great from the French Onion soup to the cheese plate to the Halibut. Super friendly servers and cool decor.

I made reservations for this place the night before after planning a date out with my partner. When arrived near the restaurant, parking was quite terrible, but that's expected for Seattle on a Sunday. Once we did find parking, we were greeted by the nice hosts in the front. Originally I had a table reserved at the bar but asked to change to a normal table, and they generously honored my request and brought us to a table near the windows. At first glance of the restaurant name, you would be fooled, as was I, to think that this was a French restaurant. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it served a lot of Cajun and Creole food.

Our serve was great and gave us recommendations for dinner, one of which was the Mad Hatcher Petit Half Chicken with Cippolinis in a Smoky Bacon Lardons Demi. We ended up settling for the chicken, an order french fries, and the Big Easy Jambalaya.

When the food arrived, the chicken was delicious and quite hearty. The bacon were cut in to thick cubes and melded well with the mashed potatoes and roasted onions. The chicken itself was deboned and seasoned very well with a ton of flavors from the aromatics and sauce. The jambalaya was pretty good and a bit spicy, enough to let you know there's a kick. It was also pretty large, probably enough to feed 2 people. It was a bit watery, almost like gumbo, compared to other jambalaya I've had but was nothing bad, just unexpected. The french fries were as expected and were seasoned well, but we only wished it was a bit crispier.

Overall, this restaurant is nice for a fancier date night since a lot of the steaks and such are quite pricey. I would come back to try other dishes as well since the menu is quite extensive and everything sounded delicious, but would be too much food for only two people to eat!
