What a cute little brunch spot! Steps away from the Courtyard Marroitt Union Square, Lapisara features thai takes on traditional brunch favorites. In addition to standards like French toast and waffles, diners can try thai burritos or Holy Basil omelets with chicken.
I opted for the penang beef omelet. Perfection. The beef was tender and flavorful. The potatoes were gorgeous- purple, sweet potatoes and Yukon golds. The salad had a light, sweet dressing that went very well with the spice of my omelet.
The highlight was my iced Ube Latte. I wondered why they would put a stuffed teddy bear on a drink, only to discover it was ice! Delicious and refreshing. After I ordered, others near me followed suit.
Very friendly, efficient service in a bright and clean space. What a lovely treat to wrap up out SF date night/ morning.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Sep 6, 2024
Stellar brunch experience. Asian brunch spots never fail to amaze me. Service was fast, attentive and sweet!
Their drinks are SO cute and yummy, they use a "bear" theme and even if you don't get a latte, they put your drink in a little bear cup. Super cute for the kids or for pics.
Portion sizes are super large, we got the Lapisara's Classic, Huevos Rancheros and Vietnamese Pork. One thing I want to call out is if you think you need to order a sweet item to balance the savory, you probably don't!! The potatoes they serve blend so well with the savory part of the dish -- they're practically the "sweet" you're missing :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Sep 3, 20241 check-in
I'll go ahead and give it five stars, with a caveat.
The day after labor day was not crowded. I was seated (solo) immediately, and there were plenty of open tables and about three lovely ladies working the floor. The latte comes in an adorable bear, undoubtedly making the gram with every guest that comes through. Their OJ was one of the best I've had in SF... fresh, but not overly pulpy. And yes, the latte was 'light' but very tasty.
The Crab Benedict is a pricy endeavor, but when in SF, you must get crab at least once. The plate is HUGE with a lot of salad (the vinaigrette on it was amazing), potatoes mixed with other root veg (delicious), and the eggs poached perfectly and the special hollandaise was amazing (I asked for an additional side of sauce, as they sauce the eggs rather lightly).
Everything was delicious and was almost too *much* food. It gave me fuel for the entire day. However, you will pay a hefty price for the meal. Worth it if you are visiting from out of town, and if you're local it might be the occasional special treat. Or maybe you have some of that sweet Silicon Valley money. Lucky you. Spend away!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 13, 2024
Wow! Wow, wow, wow!!! What a gem! Not only is the food amazing, but the staff was so friendly and attentive! Not to mention the inside is so beautiful. I enjoyed every part of the experience offered. The pannang omelet was amazing. The French toast was wonderful. The ube latte was to die for. I had told my partner earlier that I wasn't too interested in coming back to San Fran for concerts. This brunch spot changed my mind. We will be back just to try the Tom yum burrito!

Very aesthetic and cutesy interior!
It wasn't busy during lunch time :), food came pretty fast!
The ube latte was alright, I think the ube flavor could be stronger it's very faint. Just paying for the cute little ice bear.
I ordered the avocado toast, the avocado/guacamole was too salty.
Not sure if I'd come back in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Service was fast and we were seated outside after being on the waitlist for 15min! We went on a weekend and tons of folks here. They do an amazing creating beautiful drinks and plating of food. The Panang omelette was recommended and while it was unique we probably wouldn't get it again. Soft egg but the tender meat just wasn't something we were accustomed to in an omelette. The flavor is definitely panang red sauce. We got the Thai ice tea and ube and they weren't too sweet. The chicken sandwich was good but overall all the food wasn't super wow to me. Good but nothing that different besides the decor

My friends and I used to go to Lapisara for brunch all the time, but after moving out of the area, we hadn't visited as often. Despite it being a few years since my last visit, I've always craved their Fried Chicken Sandwich. Last Saturday, we finally went back, and I'm so glad we did.
Surprisingly, there wasn't a long line, and we waited only about 5-10 minutes. We all opted for the bottomless mimosas, which were excellent. Our food arrived in a timely manner, and that first bite of the Fried Chicken Sandwich was just as amazing as I remembered.
The only downside was that I wished there was more slaw and sauce, as some of the bun was a bit dry. Nevertheless, it's still the meal I'll choose when we visit again. Overall, the service was great too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Got here around 9:30 am on a Sunday and had about a 15 min wait (FYI they will not seat you unless your whole party is there)
Shared 2 dishes with 4 people and this was the perfect amount of food.
-Ube Latte - fire, the hot one is served in the cutest little cup. Loved the little honey/gold crunchies on top
-chicken waffle - so good I was impressed, the chicken was perfectly crunchy and great flavor and the waffle was also spot on, great dish perfectly balanced sweet/salty
-holy basil omelette - this place was complete with potatoes (love that it was a mix of different potatoes including sweet potatoes), salad and toast. Good flavor in the omelette.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Came here for lunch last weekend. I don't really go to that area in SF but I feel like it's not the safest part of SF. Service was fast, food - both my friend and I ordered chicken n waffle, for the price, it's not all that. Drink - I had "It was a good day", too sweet and I honestly didn't taste the alcohol. Presentation of food and drinks was cutesy. Servers were friendly and fast. Parking - street parking or garage (preferred IMO for safety). It was good to try it since it's all over IG, but I don't think I'll come back or something I would recommend.

Such a cute spot for Thai inspired brunch. Tons of fun options on the menu, both sweet and savory, so there's something for everyone. They go all out for birthdays so would definitely recommend coming here for a birthday :)) They give free dessert and also a small gift. So sweet!
Got the tom yum burrito which came with a massive serving of chips (yum) and tom yum salsa I think (it was very good w the chips). The burrito itself was okay -- it was very filling and flavorful, but nothing super special. Their omelettes looked really good. The portions here are huge.
Fantastic service (everyone was super sweet and kind!) and food comes out very quick! Come at 10:30 to avoid a line.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
