Actor Ajith Kumar has been hospitalized and will be discharged soon, according to his spokesperson, who confirmed to Zoom. Dismissing speculations about brain surgery to remove a cyst, it was clarified that Ajith is receiving treatment for a nerve swelling. Busting the rumors, Ajith's spokesperson clarified to Zoom that the actor underwent hospitalization for a routine examination. During the examination, doctors identified nerve swelling.

"On Thursday, Ajith sir got admitted to the hospital for a general examination. There was undue swelling in the nerve connecting his ear to the brain. Doctors addressed it with a simple medical procedure. Ajith is doing well; he even walked from the ward to the ICU," stated his spokesperson to Zoom, adding that Ajith is expected to be discharged within a day or two.

The spokesperson highlighted Ajith's heightened focus on health following the untimely demise of art director Milan last year who died when the actor was shooting his upcoming movie 'Vidaamuyarchi' abroad.

Earlier rumors sparked concerns among fans after a video surfaced showing Ajith and his wife, former actor Shalini, visiting Apollo Hospital on Thursday. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala addressed fans' worries by reassuring them about Ajith's health status, emphasizing that apart from routine check-ups, he underwent cardio and neuro assessments and is in good health.

Ajith is presently on hiatus from the filming of his upcoming movie 'Vidaamuyarchi,' co-starring Trisha, Arjun, Arav, and Regina Cassandra in significant roles.

The upcoming suspense thriller 'Vidaamuyarchi' is being primarily shot overseas, with plans to resume filming later this month. The team intends to travel abroad for further shooting. Ajith Kumar, the lead actor, recently hosted a football-themed celebration for his son Aadvik, attracting attention on social media platforms.

Unfortunately, the 'Vidaamuyarchi' crew faced a heartbreaking setback during their shoot in Azerbaijan when their longtime collaborator, art director Milan, passed away in October. Milan, aged in his early 50s, had collaborated with Ajith on over 30 films, including popular ones like 'Billa,' 'Velayudham,' 'Veeram,' 'Endrendrum Punnagai,' 'Vedalam,' 'Annaatthe,' and 'Pathu Thala.'

During a break from filming in Chennai, Ajith Kumar paid tribute to director Vetri Duraisamy, a close friend with whom he had embarked on numerous motorcycle journeys across India. Vetri tragically lost his life in a car accident last month near National Highway 5 in the Lahaul-Spiti area, near Kashang Nala, while traveling with a friend.
