    Anant Ambani’s journey from obesity to becoming the epitome of fitness is nothing short of inspiring. The entrepreneur's transition from overweight to fit is a glorious testament to his perseverance and tenacity. However, there has been a guide who has been in charge of this challenging weight loss journey.

    In the course of 18 months, Ambani made the seemingly impossible, possible. He lost over 108 kg.

    From childhood, the Reliance Industries scion had battled obesity. In an interview with the Times Of India in 2017, his mother, Nita Ambani revealed that Anant was suffering from a bad bout of asthma and had to be put on steroids.

    One of the most celebrated fitness & weight-loss coaches in India, Vinod Channa has helped several celebs meet their fitness goals for many years. He specialises in several aspects of fitness training such as weight management, body transformation, nutritional guidance, and diet management. He is based in Bandra, Mumbai.

    His clientele includes celebrities such as John Abraham, Shilpa Shetty, Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane, Vivek Oberoi etc.

    His fees are jaw-droppingly high. For 12 sessions, his fees are about Rs 1.2 lakh.

    In an interview with TOI, Channa revealed that although Anant was determined to shed pounds, he also had an overwhelming fondness for junk food. Keeping his proclivities in mind, Channa designed a customised diet plan that would help him develop healthy eating habits rather than go on a crash diet and deprive himself.

    Eat Judiciously

    The diet plan was created to help Ambani develope healthier and sustainable eating habits -such as portion control, and opting for healthier options such as food items with less monounsaturated fats, carbohydrates, and more fibre. His calorie intake was supposed to be between 1200-1500 every day.


    Regular Workouts

    In addition to dietary modifications, Anant also underwent a rigorous exercise regimen which included cardio, yoga, strength training, flexibility exercises, etc. The entrepreneur worked out for five to six hours every day to meet this goal. He also walked about 21 kilometre daily. Following this schedule, the entrepreneur was able to shed 108 kgs in less than two years!


    It All Starts With The Mind

    The body cannot heal if the mind is overburdened with stress. Along with diet changes and exercise regimen, Ambani also learned to focus on work-life balance, practise mindfulness in order to keep stress at bay.

    Ambani is all set to tie the knot with his childhood sweetheart Radhika Merchant, in a grand wedding ceremony this July.
